Release: 'In Between Daze' EP
Label: Itchy Pig Records
Release Date: 10th November 2014
Arshaw is a name that has rumbled ever forwards into the minds of musical lovers in much the same way the Sheffield producer’s tracks have shaken speakers to their core since he started unleashing his eclectic blend of bass-centric music.
Itchy Pig Records are delighted to present his latest well-crafted offering, the ‘In Between Daze’ EP, six sensational tracks of captivating grooves and beats.
‘Black Mountain’ opens things with a tantalising piece, laced with delicate chimes interwoven around a foreboding bass line and some anguished synths. ‘Grrrrrl’ sees a captivatingly frenetic drum pattern skitter around insistently throbbing synths and a destructive bass line. Title track, ‘In Between Daze’, takes a more melodious turn, as the synths call to each other under the elegant chimes and bellicose beat.
‘Jacarta’ delivers an ever-lively synth line that scrambles over tribal drums and a bass line carved with devious intent. ‘Promises’ has a synth line that lasers its way straight into your brain, carrying with it the steadily developing groove and quivering rumbles of bass. Closing out the EP is ‘Weakness’, a chopped and screwed vocal twists around a shuffling drum pattern, stuttering synth line and a bass line dripping with hints of its own melancholic regret.
